Roulette Grand Martingale Strategy

Many would avoid many of the roulette betting strategies, especially the Martingale system. The Martingale system, however, is not the most risky of systems, when you compare it to others, such as the Grand Martingale system. Although the risks are great, many roulette players still enjoy playing with this betting system.

The Grand Martingale is similar to the more traditional Martingale system, but the size of the bets are increased much more aggressively than in the traditional system. In the Martingale system, after each losing bet, the next bet is doubled. In the Grand Martingale, the bet is not only doubled, but after being doubled, one extra betting unit is added.

For example, if the original bet was $10, the next bet would be $30. That is, 2 x $10 + $10 = $30. If the player loses this bet too, their next bet would be 2 x $30 + $10 = $70. In this way, if the player wins this bet, they will be up not only $10 as they would be in the regular Martingale system, but their winnings would be up $30 by using the Grand Martingale.

The next bet size is always the previous bet multiplied by two, plus the original, or Grand Martingale, bet.

Although the Grand Martingale portion of the bet is normally equal to just one unit, or the original bet, it can be changed according to the will of the player. The advantage of the Grand Martingale over the Martingale, is that although the risks are greater, so are the potential profits.
