What Is A Tournament?

Wikipedia defines a tournament as: “A competition involving multiple matches, each involving a subset of the competitors, with the overall tournament winner determined based on the combined results of these individual matches.”

This is a true definition. Tournaments in poker or online casinos, are held by the online site and players pay a small buyin fee, in order to win the larger prize. To win the tournament you have to beat out every player in the tournament.

Video Poker tournaments obviously involve the game of video poker. Different video poker tournaments might involve the different games of video poker. Examples would be Dueces Wild, Wild Jacks, Triple play, Multi play video poker, etc.

Same thing here. Slots players will buyin and try to beat all the other players to take the grand prize. Slots tournaments is kind of like horse racing. You either put the game on auto spin or not, but either way, people are going to be racing to see if their machine will hit a jackpot or not.
